The supplier's strip catalogue runs in two directions at once. By grade, the coil strip pages cover the same 1xxx–8xxx alloy families as the coil stock range; the structured grade listings (1050, 1100, 3003 among them) publish thickness 0.2–6.0 mm and width 80–2300 mm for those grades, and the other grades publish their own figures. By application, the published range names the strip products buyers actually search for: aluminium coil stock, slit coil, flat strip, armoured cable strip, insulated glass strip, license plate strip (covered on its own page), air duct strip, corner strip, shutter strip and transformer foil strip.
Application strips in the published range
- Armoured cable strip — strip for cable armouring, listed among the application strips on the coil-strip site.
- Air duct strip — 8011/1100/3003 strip for spiral air duct is a documented Made-in-China listing.
- Shutter and corner strip — window shutter strip and corner strip appear in both the coil-strip site and the full-range site catalogues.
- Fin strip — narrow strip for heat-exchange fins; see the fin stock page for the documented fin listings.
- Transformer strip — 1050/1060/1070/1350 strip for transformer winding; the 1350 grade page covers the electrical-grade listing.
The supplier publishes strip in both directions: the coil-strip site publishes grade-by-grade strip data, while the full-range site lists strip by product family — transformer strip, color coated strip, jacketing insulation coil, PCB entry board strip, plastic composite strip, slit strip, shutter strip, corner strip, air duct strip, car license strip and heat exchange strip. Products with their own documented listings (jacketing, license plate blanks, fin stock) are quoted against those listings' detail; everything else is quoted against the grade listings.
Specifying strip
A strip enquiry needs four things: alloy and temper, thickness, finished width, and edge/ID requirements for your line. Width is the figure buyers most often leave open, and it decides whether the order runs as mother coil plus slitting or as a listed strip product. If your width matches a published application strip, say so in the enquiry — the quotation can then reference that listing directly, including its minimum order.
Strip tolerances and edges
Two specification details decide whether a strip order runs cleanly on your line, and both appear in the published listings. The first is tolerance: grade pages publish thickness and width tolerances for the mother format (the cap closure listings, for example, publish thickness tolerance of +0.01 mm and width tolerance of +1 mm for that product family), and the strip quotation carries the figures for the finished width. The second is edge condition: the 1350 transformer strip listing specifies round edges free from burr, pits and dents, with a cleaned and degreased surface — language worth copying into any strip enquiry where the strip will be wound, laminated or handled by automated feeders.
Application strips also divide by surface. Most are mill finish, but the strip families include color coated strip on the full-range site and the anodised and coated products covered elsewhere on this site. If the strip is a visible part — shutter slats and corner trim usually are — name the finish and the face that shows; if it is a functional part such as fin or cable strip, the temper and tolerance matter more than the surface, and the enquiry should say that too.
What is the difference between coil stock and strip?
On this site, coil stock is the wide mother format; strip is coil supplied in narrower widths or for a named application (cable, duct, fin, transformer). Both come from the same grade listings.
Can strip be supplied in 1350 for transformers?
Yes — 1350 is a documented electrical grade in this range; see the 1350 aluminum page for its published strip specification, including its own 2-ton minimum order.
Are colored strips available?
Color coated strip is listed on the full-range site; the color coated coil page covers the coated range and its published figures.
